Tournament Brackets

 REMINDERS for DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS

  1. GAME SHEETS:  All games and rosters are loaded into Game Sheets under MINNESOTA DISTRICT 15 CHAMPIONSHIPS- 2024 season.  Please let your stats personnel know to go under this season when they are looking for the games.  DO NOT create a new game, they are all in there for you

2. ALL GAMES MUST BE UPLOADED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME IS COMPLETED. If you as team managers do not want to get a text from me late at night asking for game scores, then PLEASE REMIND EVERY PERSON WHO IS DOING THE STATS FOR THE GAME TO UPLOAD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME.

3. Throughout the tournament I will be updating the brackets on the D15 website.  Instruct everyone to go to the D15 website: Tournaments: Brackets page to see them. https://d15.pucksystems.com/page/show/56154-tournament-brackets I will verify all scores/ points for seedings for Sunday.  If you have questions or something doesn’t look right, please call or text me 218-731-5899.

4. Non-Advancing Tournaments:  There is a 6-goal max differential.  The directions for ties in the non-advancing tournaments are on each bracket and in the D15 Handbook.  In the event of a 3-way tie, tie breakers 1 and 2 are eliminated.  Start with #3 goal differential.  After that seed is decided, then go back to Tie Breaker #1 for the 2 remaining teams.

5. SUNDAY, please take a team photo with the trophy winners and send me the photos for the D15 website.  Email district15hockey@gmail.com or text me at 218-731-5899.  Please mention division and the team too.

6. Teams are required to pay the $250 Gate Fee for the tournaments.  This is for the expenses the host site has for running the tournaments such as programs, posters, decorations, referees, ice fees, etc.  Please check with your association if the fees have been paid in advance or if you need to bring a check.

7. HOST SITES:  Please remember you are NOT the home team for this tournament.  You are the host site.  All the posters and decorations must be for all the teams.  Host site parents should be welcoming to all the teams attending.

8. ALL PARENTS AND COACHES, please remember these players are our children.  The referees are generally not much older than the level they are the referee for.  They are ALL human; they will make mistakes and they will make great calls.  Be respectful to our referees on the ice during and after the games.  These games should be fun to watch.

9. PLEASE FOLLOW DISTRICT 15 TOURNAMENT RULES IN THE HANDBOOK (pages 9-11) FOR ALL DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS FOR PERIOD AND PENALTY LENGTHS AND FOR OVERTIME PROCEDURES. THERE ARE DIFFERENT RULES FOR ADVANCING TO REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS AND FOR NON-ADVANCING TOURNAMENTS.  ALL LEVELS WILL USE 15 MINUTE PERIODS.  SQUIRT, 10U, 12U, PEEWEE GAMES HAVE 1 MINUTE 30 SECOND PENALTIES AND BANTAM GAMES ARE 2 MINUTE PENALTIES.

Encourage your kids. Have fun. Be positive. Enjoy watching your children play the game they love.

REMEMBER no fighting among parents, no yelling at referees, and no yelling at coaches.
